We started Rip Van to improve people’s lives by inventing better convenient foods. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, we understand that the need & accessibility for snack foods like ours is paramount. We wanted to share with you what we’re doing to ensure our product accessibility & support during this time of uncertainty.
Our production facility has the highest food safety certifications, including an AA rated BRC certificate, which is the international standard for food safety. We’ve taken extra steps at this time, including enhanced hygiene and cleaning procedures. Non-essential visitors are not allowed inside our production facility.
We are fortunate to have maintained strong inventory for our consumers online and for our partners who sell our products in stores. Since this crisis began, we have also maintained a close watch on our ingredients to be sure we can continue to bake enough Rip Van Wafels to meet demand.
Like many of you, we wondered what we can do to help in any way. We’ve recently donated product to first responders at three health centers impacted by the coronavirus. We’ll keep looking for ways to do more.
We know the most important work in this time is being done by doctors and nurses who are caring for the sick, and the people who are working to make sure those of us staying at home have what we need: grocery store workers, delivery drivers, garbage collectors and so many more.
As always, we welcome your ideas and suggestions. But most of all, thank you for enjoying our products. Stay safe and we will get through this together, one wafel at a time!
