Lousy Customer Service

I placed my first-ever order on the ripvan.com website on May 3rd and received it on May 4, 2024. Great! I placed my second order on May 27, 2024 to take advantage of the Memorial Day discount. I did not receive it until June 11, 2024. UPS shows they did not receive the package until June 7, 2024. Rip Van has lost a customer and I will NOT be placing a third order. Here is why:
1) They charged my credit card on May 27th, the day I placed the order. Companies should not charge a credit card until they actually ship the order.
2) On June 3 I used their website’s “Contact Us” page to ask why my order had not yet shipped. I got no reply.
3) On June 6th, I sent an email to [****] saying that if I do not get an answer to the email, I will dispute the charge on my credit card. I finally received a reply on June 10th saying “We apologize for the delay as your email was filtered.” No apology or reason for why my order took so long to ship. Other comments also show that this company has lousy customer service.
Honestly, if their products were great I might give them a third chance. But they are not great and not worth the time I wasted trying to find out why my order had not yet shipped. Maybe if you place an order it will ship in one day, like my first order did. But, if you have any issues with your order, good luck getting an answer from their customer service department.

I want to nullify my initial review and change the rating because I received my order in proper condition. I would still recommend buying the product. However, be aware of shipping times. There were more than 15 days between the time the shipping label was created and when the shipping facility said it received my package. After that, I received my order a week later. For customer service, being transparent, such as making aware of shipping delays on the website or in an email invoice, would help.
